As the many multiversal guests are gated in, singly or in groups, a crowd slowly begins to form in the entry hall. Lioncourt looks up from her meditation break and claps her hands twice: in moments, a dozen automaton servants file out from the adjoining rooms, hands of gleaming white porcelain holding equally elegant china tea-sets. A pair of the automatons open the doors at the far end of the hall, revealing a tiered rose garden, the stone benches dotted here and there ringing a large central clearing.

"Tea is served, either here or in the gardens: I would appreciate it, however, if some of my guests might proceed onward so as to reduce crowding."

"I don't know," Esthfora says brightly. "She didn't say. She was looking at the flowers. They're so soft!"

"... Inkspot," says Inavet, successfully keeping her voice steady and her face expressionless. "Prism, I presume? It's nice to meet you."

No it isn't, no it isn't, if Inavet had her way they would never meet, oh goddesses why did she do this she's such an idiot...

Prism giggles. "Wow! You keep to theme, huh? That's cool! It's nice to meet you too."

(Okay now stop talking and saying things and she can politely excuse herself -)

"You're very quiet on the forums, I hardly know anything about you! What's your world like? Have you thought of a name for it yet?"

"... No. I - feel like I don't have the authority to name my world." She shrugs. "And mine's not the most interesting, anyway. Esthfora's sounds more interesting, what's yours like?"

"It's very pretty," she says. "You could visit if you wanted!"

"Ooo! Could I visit, too?"

"Anyone can visit! Oh, but I don't know how you'd get there," she says. "It's tricky. I invited Orz but Orz are good at visiting."

"I can probably get someone to make a gate! Or ask around for people to bring me there."

What's a good way to politely excuse herself, what possible excuse can she use without Prism thinking it's incredibly suspicious? Inavet would like to know. Right now.

She shakes her head. "It sounds lovely, but... I've got some things going on, in my life. I'm lucky I could even nip out for this party."

Also lucky to be alive for this party, but that's a bit off topic.

A polite cough comes from the vicinity of Inavet's waist. "Excuse me, might I have a moment to speak with you?"

Lioncourt smiles and sips her tea: there are certain advantages to being about four feet tall, as it turns out.
