Tea in the Gardens and Antechambers

As the many multiversal guests are gated in, singly or in groups, a crowd slowly begins to form in the entry hall. Lioncourt looks up from her meditation break and claps her hands twice: in moments, a dozen automaton servants file out from the adjoining rooms, hands of gleaming white porcelain holding equally elegant china tea-sets. A pair of the automatons open the doors at the far end of the hall, revealing a tiered rose garden, the stone benches dotted here and there ringing a large central clearing.

"Tea is served, either here or in the gardens: I would appreciate it, however, if some of my guests might proceed onward so as to reduce crowding."

The woman in orange and gray proceeds onward.

Conveniently, there seems to be a large table available, suitable for putting down her gift. She does so, and goes to mingle.

An elven woman in a sparkling color-shifting dress twirls into the garden. She wanders by and touches the roses, smiling a little.

She looks up and spots the woman in orange and gray, and her smile widens.

"Oh, hello! Wow, there are so many humans here, it's so cool!"

Anda and Linsa (with Tyche)

Anda wanders into the garden, followed closely by her Companion. They both collect cups of tea and find a bench to sit on together and admire the garden.

Astra Nepthys

A dark-haired woman sits on one of the many stone benches, her black eyes dotted with falling stars. She absently sips at her scalding-hot tea, then returns the cup to the saucer in her lap.

A red-haired man almost walks past her before noticing her.

He blinks, and then shrugs. Walking nearer to her, he asks: "Mind if I sit here?"

Glen goes over to one of the automatons.
She inspects it for a moment, walks in a slow circle to see every angle, then settles onto the ground.

She opens her notebook and begins to sketch.

Upon closer inspection, the automaton appears to have biological components beneath the smooth, overlapping ceramic exoskeleton: They appear to mostly be visible at the joints when it bends, the plates shifting past each other as it moves. Though sculpted in the rough form of a human, it has no real facial features to speak of. The entire contruction gives an impression of something intended to blend into the background when not paid attention to, and to be strikingly elegant when observed directly.

Thorn (and Dotted Lines)

A black-haired woman in dark blue is leaning against the wall opposite the door to the entry hall, watching proceedings. She almost moves to interrupt when Tyche gets into her conversation/argument, but doesn't. Tych can handle herself.

She goes back to watching goings-on, and scanning people as they enter. It is almost as if she's looking for someone in particular.

Well, there goes a man a few meters away, calling out "Thorn? Thorn?" as he walks, although he is not looking toward the doors or windows.

Esthfora

There is a woman outside in the garden, leaning close to a rosebush to inspect the petals of a particular flower.

She is wearing a long dress made of soft-looking fabric with delicate lace trim, and no shoes; and she is surrounded by a shifting rainbow halo that makes it impossible to tell what colour, if any, the dress actually is. Blue/purple/red/orange/yellow/green/blue and back around again, in slow graceful arcs of colour.

Lioncourt doesn't remember gating in this particular guest, but then again, she didn't really need to. If she trusts Esthfora with her mind, she trusts her with her guests by association.

"Thank you for coming; I was worried that you might not turn up." She smiles softly as Esthfora examines one of her roses. "They're specially cultivated: no other roses anywhere are like them. They're... very mine."

Raezenoth and Kit

A god floats along, wondering who present is best to speak to.

He spots... A lump. In a tapestry. He tilts his head, and floats towards it. He refrains from lifting the tapestry up, but he does address the person hiding.

"From whom are you hiding?" wonders Raezenoth, god voice echoing in every language the hearer knows, and a few the hearer doesn't, but still perfectly intelligible.

The lump wiggles out of the tapestry a little farther.

"No one, but it's a really good place to watch from." She stares up at him. "You're flying!"

Dr. Realist

The purple-haired man declines to have tea, instead deciding to climb up on one of the stone benches and peer out over the garden. Between his purple hair, dishevelled-looking labcoat and scarecrow-like build, he's managing to make something of a spectacle of himself- even here at a multiversal party.

"Hello! See anything interesting from up there?"

Gifts from Okawaru

There's a minotaur looking at the gift table. He pauses for a moment, kneels, and says, quietly, "There's gifts. Maybe we should give one too?"

_Something appears at your feet!

He picks up the Jewelled Gloves {god gift} and places them on the table.

Satisfied that he has upheld Okawaru's honor and completely forgetting about the fact that Lioncourt would probably want them identified, the minotaur goes off to mingle.

Aisilian sighs. That ... could definitely have gone better.

He thinks he'll go get more tea. This is good tea, and good tea makes everything better.

Someone else is also in the process of acquiring tea! He is short for a human, and wearing a well-tailored brown uniform with silver trim. He approves of the tea.

A huge battlemech comes stomping into the gardens, moving somewhat awkwardly so as to avoid stomping on fragile things. It does not seem particularly optimized for this sort of environment, but its fishy pilot seems happy enough to be here anyways.

Inkspot and Esthfora

The (slightly) mysterious black-clad masked woman is remarkably distracted by flowers. Not by their looks, in particular, but - to her senses, they feel weird. They feel like they have been tampered with, like they did not grow that way naturally but grow that way now all the same. But it doesn't feel like it's been tampered with plant craft. She's trying to figure out just how they feel different, and what that difference means.

To an ordinary viewer, she's sitting on a stone bench, eyes closed, out of the way. Sipping tea occasionally, but mostly ignoring it.

"Thank you," murmurs Inavet, to her host, when they are out of earshot of Prism. That run in was... Nerve wracking. She's glad Lioncourt rescued her. Possibly accidentally. But probably not.

At the moment, Lioncourt appears to be speaking to one of her automata about the next phase of party preparations. Or, rather, speaking at one of her automata: the white-shelled servant doesn't seem to be doing much speaking in response, due to its lack of a mouth.
