Arrivals at the Entry Hall (Lioncourt's Coronation Party)

The entry hall of Lioncourt's castle is a vast, gothic thing, with deep burgundy tapestries on the walls and matching carpet underfoot. The precisely-fitted masonry has been polished within an inch of its life, the dark stone gleaming sullenly in the insistently cheery light of the newly-installed electric lamps.

Within the high arches of the surrounding baulaustrades, two women intone the same spell, matching each other's cadence: A pale girl, looking little older than a child, and a tall, red-haired woman with serious slate-grey eyes.

As the last syllable fades, twin portals shimmer into existence: the first multiversal party in the Many Worlds is officially underway!

The castle is expansive and doesn't seem to conform to normal rules of geometry. Where does Rae want to go? The castle very distinctly wants to send him there, and is meanwhile giving him mostly corridor.

Well he was going to try and understand the layout of the place before trying to go anywhere in particular, but after running into mostly corridor he decides he decides... Library?

There is indeed a library! It is a small library, more of a study than a vast centre of knowledge, but there is a set of comfortable-looking armchairs, and all four walls are covered in books. The west wall appears to be dedicated to neat rows of leatherbound books on the study and practice of "Abstracted Memory", and the north wall is filled with dog-eared medical texts: the other two are somewhat of a hodgepodge of beaten-up paperbacks and hardcovers, on any number of different subjects. The mix seems to skew mostly towards fiction.

Hm. Books. He lingers for a little while to get a good idea of the literature present, decides that he can pester Leaf or Lioncourt later if he is interested in the subjects, and goes back to exploring. No destination in mind this time, let's just see what the castle has to offer.

The castle sends him to a courtyard garden, filled with all manner of flowering plants; a large cherry tree serves as the centrepiece, in full bloom despite the chill in the air. Everything is immaculately tended, save for a single spray of cherry blossom petals left lingering on the stones by the shore of the late.

It wouldn't be accurate to say that he finds it pretty (he much prefers something a bit less structured) but it is worth enough of his time that he lands to walk around. It's interesting. And you can tell a lot about a person by the state of their domain.

Eventually, he is bored. He departs to find a person. This has guests from the Many Worlds Forum, surely there's someone interesting here. Besides Cordelia, who is busy.
