One of the first guests is a god. Ordinarily, this god doesn't care very much as presenting as divine, but this is a special case. He's in a set of armor that looks very appropriate for a god of the desert, but pretty enough to not stand out at a party. One collects these things, in four thousand years of divinity. He floats through the portal and inclines his head to both women.

"Hello."

The small girl inclines her head and smiles. "So glad you could attend, Raezenoth. I realize this isn't actually binding for you, but I'd like to observe the form: In exchange for my hospitality for the duration of the party, and safe passage home, will you swear a magically binding oath to harm none while you are here, and to not venture outside the castle grounds so as to prevent multiversal incident?"

Lioncourt nods happily, then gestures to the entry hall. "You're the first to arrive: please, make yourself comfortable while Cordelia and myself proceed with Gating in the rest of the guests."

Two women step through a gate one is small and slender with light skin and moves with natural unconscious grace. The other is several inches taller, much more stocky, and with medium toned skin.

Both are dressed in similar outfits of bright blue and cream, with long capes. Their arms are bare from the elbows, revealing long ridges along the forearms of the shorter woman with openings at the wrists. As the gate closes behind them a tentacle (thin, slightly paler then the skin of the arm itself) emerges from one opening on the underside of the arm to wrap around her Companion's wrist, and the Companion in turn places her opposite hand on her channel's shoulder.

The castle is expansive and doesn't seem to conform to normal rules of geometry. Where does Rae want to go? The castle very distinctly wants to send him there, and is meanwhile giving him mostly corridor.

A heavily scarred (given Eclipse's medical technology, and the patterns they make, this is probably cosmetic) black-haired woman, dressed in dark blue flowing clothing, and a blank-faced obviously-mechanical person, come through the portal from Eclipse.

"Hello," says Tyche cheerfully.

Well he was going to try and understand the layout of the place before trying to go anywhere in particular, but after running into mostly corridor he decides he decides... Library?

Anda says "It is my charge as a Householding channel to prevent harm." She makes a sweeping gesture with two tentacles. "I will gladly swear your oath."

There is indeed a library! It is a small library, more of a study than a vast centre of knowledge, but there is a set of comfortable-looking armchairs, and all four walls are covered in books. The west wall appears to be dedicated to neat rows of leatherbound books on the study and practice of "Abstracted Memory", and the north wall is filled with dog-eared medical texts: the other two are somewhat of a hodgepodge of beaten-up paperbacks and hardcovers, on any number of different subjects. The mix seems to skew mostly towards fiction.

A gate opens, and a woman steps through. Her hair is rusty brown; her face is beginning to show signs of age. She is dressed in a dull orange blouse and a long slate-gray dress, and wearing a backpack; she carries in both hands a box wrapped in black paper and a red ribbon. A slim book hangs from her belt.

Lioncourt nods in turn to each of the pair. "Tyche and Thorn, I presume. Quite an artful choice of morph, if I may say so." She smiles, studying the black-haired woman more closely than would be usual. "Now, I'm afraid I must observe the formalities: In exchange for my hospitality for the duration of the party, and safe passage home, will you swear a magically binding oath to harm none while you are here, and to not venture outside the castle grounds so as to prevent multiversal incident?"

Lioncourt turns momentarily away from Thorn and Tyche.

"Don't worry, they'll be obvious: the perimeter is enclosed with wrought-iron railing. If you want to be particularly cautious, you could simply stay inside the castle itself."

If no one seems about to talk to her, she'll step out of the arrival area and look around the room.

Hm. Books. He lingers for a little while to get a good idea of the literature present, decides that he can pester Leaf or Lioncourt later if he is interested in the subjects, and goes back to exploring. No destination in mind this time, let's just see what the castle has to offer.
