Arrivals at the Entry Hall (Lioncourt's Coronation Party)

The entry hall of Lioncourt's castle is a vast, gothic thing, with deep burgundy tapestries on the walls and matching carpet underfoot. The precisely-fitted masonry has been polished within an inch of its life, the dark stone gleaming sullenly in the insistently cheery light of the newly-installed electric lamps.

Within the high arches of the surrounding baulaustrades, two women intone the same spell, matching each other's cadence: A pale girl, looking little older than a child, and a tall, red-haired woman with serious slate-grey eyes.

As the last syllable fades, twin portals shimmer into existence: the first multiversal party in the Many Worlds is officially underway!

Thorn -- hesitates. "While all guests at this party are presumably under the same oath, natives of your world will not be, and we have a certain lack of escape routes. I would be happy to swear to harm none except in self-defence...?"

Her morph has dramatically improved coordination, slightly improved reflexes and general grace, and boosts to willpower and general cognition. It also has improved senses (enhanced hearing, echolocation, and improved multispectral vision), adrenal gland enhancement, discreet dermal armor, variable skin coloration, a reduced sleep cycle, scent-reduction tweaking, implanted bioconductors, improved lung and blood-oxygen capacities, gecko-like pads, synapse and neutrotransmitter optimization, a hidden subdemeral pocket, improved temperature regulation and low pressure tolerance, boosted healing and disease resistance, dramatically increased microgravity tolerance, and slowed aging.

She is watching Lioncourt closely.

Lioncourt nods, careful discipline keeping her eyebrows from raising at the sheer amount of infiltration biotechnology stored in this single morph. "A sensible precaution. I will note that if the magic - which acts as I would, were I there - takes offense to the degree of self-defense you choose to employ, you may be unexpectedly evicted back to your home universe. Do you have any objection to this?"
