The entry hall of Lioncourt's castle is a vast, gothic thing, with deep burgundy tapestries on the walls and matching carpet underfoot. The precisely-fitted masonry has been polished within an inch of its life, the dark stone gleaming sullenly in the insistently cheery light of the newly-installed electric lamps.

Within the high arches of the surrounding baulaustrades, two women intone the same spell, matching each other's cadence: A pale girl, looking little older than a child, and a tall, red-haired woman with serious slate-grey eyes.

As the last syllable fades, twin portals shimmer into existence: the first multiversal party in the Many Worlds is officially underway!

"It's nice to meet you too," says Cordelia. "That's a lovely dress you're wearing. In exchange for Lioncourt's hospitality for the duration of the party, and safe passage home, will you swear a magically binding oath to harm none while you are here, and to not venture outside the castle grounds so as to prevent multiversal incident?"

"Thank you!" She smiles. "Who would I even hurt? I swear." She twirls a bit. Her dress sparkles some more. "I can introduce you to my tailor, but I think the commute might be a bit much!"

"Also someone would probably ask about your ears." She pokes her distinctly pointy ears. "But I bet if you explained everything you wouldn't get in trouble with the Ministry at all!"
