"Ladies, gentlemen, and other various but no less incomparable sentients, the main event of the party will begin shortly. If you have a coronation present for the Lady Lioncourt and have not yet placed on the central table, please do so now: everyone is likewise encouraged to take a seat on one of the benches if they wish to observe the ceremony."

Lioncourt slips the gloves on, and wiggles her fingers. Somehow, she feels more sure in her movements.

She snaps her fingers, and they make a satifying click.

"Enchanted gloves... A wonderful present for anyone who works with their hands. And shielded against electricity, no doubt to aid me in learning about this new 'computing' thing that's all the rage in other worlds." She smiles. "A fine gift indeed."

She turns back to the pile of presents.

There is a mysterious rainbow glint from the table.

Surely that beautifully intricate box has been there all along! Esthfora didn't forget to bring her present or anything. (Linear time is so hard.)

It seems to be made of cut stone, with engraved patterns of whimsical frothing swirls that complement its natural pattern of dark-on-pale pink, and the split panel on top opens like a set of doors to reveal a glossy black wooden tray of adorable little confections nestled in their individual compartments in adorable little paper cups. There are several chocolate truffles, a caramel, and a teeny tiny miniature cupcake dusted with brightly coloured sprinkles, among other things. The box also seems to have many other compartments that open in various increasingly puzzling ways. Probably they all contain candy too.

Lioncourt almost makes an unladylike grab at the amazingly pretty box, but catches herself and manages to simply reach for it. It is so wonderful and what's this inside it? Brown... lumps? Well, that over there is recognizably muffinlike, so... these are edible?

She pops one of the brown lumps into her mouth and bites into it.

... Oh my.

Lioncourt puts down the box with visible effort. If she has another, then she will delay the entire party and make a spectacle of herself. She will have to eat the candy later.

It is labeled "From Meletiti Entelecheiai" and "Sorry, this one's not very cheerful either. The purple package from Inkspot would be a good next choice."

Lioncourt blinks at that, then shoots a glare over her shoulder at the red-haired mage.

"I would appreciate if you didn't go around predicting things."

She opens the envelope and scans the list.

"... I see. Well, they certainly are getting more inventive. Thank you, I suppose, but next time you decide to casually invade the privacy of my citizens, I would prefer for you to at least ask beforehand."

She leaves the letter on the table, and deliberately does not open Inkspot's present next. Here's one from Anda and Linsa: what's inside it?

Inside is a small packet. Inside the packet there are a number of seeds, that seem like some variety of rose seeds.

There is also a short note with brief instructions for planting and care and instructions for brewing tea from the leaves of the plant.

Well, that's certainly not bad at all. A plant from another universe to add to her garden. She idly sweeps the seeds with her Memnodyne vision: do these work on DNA, or...?

She smiles at the Sine and Gen pair.

Yes, it is, isn't it.

There is - a note, a very pretty (and very expensive) golden necklace set with a multicolored mystic topaz, and a bag of what looks to be candy. Made from cacti.

The note reads,

This once belonged to a man who thought it wise to enslave his fellow sentients. One of his former slaves stole this from him, and gave it to me as thanks. I haven't been able to do anything with it for two thousand years.

I am not insulting you by comparing you to him. But I did think it appropriate that while you redeem your own world, you carry a precious item that reminds you of past victories against tarnished foes.

She looks around for the god, and inclines her head with respect.
